The Nepalese and Dutch flags are hung on the first concrete pillars of the 1st phase of the school. Partly thanks to the large mixer, construction is going well. An amazing amount of manual work remains, even if it is just filling the formwork of the pillar with the mixed concrete. This is done by passing a flat shell filled with concrete. 1 pillar is filled with more than 1000 kg of concrete.
The bulldozer was also in the area this week and could be used to fill all foundation holes and level the building ground. It already looks much nicer.
momo party
All in all, a nice milestone to celebrate with a Momo Party. Krishna has surprised the construction team with a nice serving of momo.
Momo is a Nepalese dough bag from Asian cuisine.
Momos are made from a simple dough of flour and water. The filling is a mixture of minced chicken, cabbage, onion, tomato and herbs.
The dough is prepared in narrow round flat pieces. The fillings are placed in it and the momo is closed in the shape of a half moon. The momo is steamed in a special pan over the wood fire.
A delicacy….
