The plot intended for the construction of the new school was a stepped piece of mountain slope. A group of men from the village worked hard for a week to level the ground with the help of a large bulldozer. The bulldozer was working nearby and could be rented for a reasonable price. With a lot of craftsmanship, a nice flat piece of land has been created. Large chunks of stone up to 1.5 meters in size have been moved for this purpose and where possible reused when making the retaining walls as a separation from lower-lying land.
